Dave Ramsey is a financial advisor who gives advice in a very casual way to help people get out of debt. He has his own TV show on FOX where people can call in, give their story, and then he offers suggestions to help them get out of debt. He also has a radio show on AM stations (I can't remember the station for Seattle). Anyway, here are his 7 basic tips to get out of debt.
If you go to his website he'll go more into detail on each step. It may sound overwhelming but at least it's a start and you know where your money is going!
In life, sometimes you learn lessons where you least expect. I have always had a spot in my heart for those with disabilities, and watching this video showed me that this young man chose to look past his disability and focus on what he is truly gifted at. This video will inspire you and give you hope that your dreams can come true.

Almost everyone has seen the 1993 hit movie Sleepless in Seattle. The houseboat used as Tom Hanks home is a real house boat that sits on Lake Union in Seattle. Only the exterior of the home was used in the movie and all the interior was shot on a sound stage. But low and behold, that home hit the market last week and is listed for 2.5 million dollars.
It's a great looking houseboat, and really spacious. I was amazed how open and bright it is, not that I've been inside it but the pictures make it seem so.
If you would like to take a look click here for the agents website of the property that includes pictures.
I just heard about this great program that pays you to recycle your old electronics! Costco has teamed up with a third party company that will pay you for your old electronics in Costco Gift Cards. They will even pay the shipping! It's crazy and totally worth checking into. Your old cell phone could earn you $20.00
They have it broken down by category and the item has to be on their list but their list includes game systems, digital cameras, cell phones, monitors, the list goes on and on.
Just an FYI, normal cell phones are included in the PDA/Smart phone category so be sure to check there too!

This week I took my twin 4 year old boys to our local fire station to get them some new helmets. It was a great field trip!
A fireman personally fit the helmet to my boys to ensure we get the right size plus the helmets are cool looking and more affordable than any store. The station we went to asked for a suggested donation of $9.00 per helmet but if you can't afford that it's ok, give what you can. It's more important that kids get a helmet!
After the helmet fitting the fireman took us to see the fire truck and ambulance. We were having so much fun and then the station got a call and the firemen had to leave. They gave my boys a goodie bag full of stickers, coloring pages, toys, and the best part was a plastic fire hat!
Not all stations have the helmets so you might need to do some checking. We live in Snohomish County and within each county there are fire districts and within each district is a fire station. I live in Mill Creek so I'm in District 7 and station 72 was the one closest to my house. It's a great field trip!
Everyone needs to laugh from time to time. If you haven't done your taxes yet you're probably stressing out about now. If you house is on the market and hasn't sold as quick as you would have liked you could use a little laugh. It's the best medicine.
Enjoy these babies, not one but quads, totally laughing it up!
It's the last week of March and usually I'd be thinking about getting some spring flowers planted this weekend but IT'S SNOWING!
I love snow. I think it's beautiful and a break from the everyday gray rain we normally get in Seattle but come on, it's the end of March! I'm ready to go camping, work in the garden, let the kids play in the backyard without layers and layers of clothes. I want to see how many of my bulbs are going to come back but at this point I'll probably loose them all from the cold weather.
At least it's Friday and I don't have to worry about driving in it tomorrow, that is if any of it sticks!
If you pay attention to the news you may have heard that the Feds cut the interest rates again in hopes of turning the economy around. When this happened in January there was a mad dash for everyone to lock in their rates ASAP.
Today CNN Money reported "Rates on fixed-rate mortgages dropped sharply in the past week, after the Federal Reserve took several historic steps to shore up the financial markets. The rate on a 30-year loan dropped to an average of 5.87%, down from 6.13% a week ago, according to new Freddie Mac figures released Thursday. A 15-year mortgage now can be had for 5.27%, down from 5.60%."
These are national numbers mind you, to get current and local rates please contact Team Psaradelis directly.
If you know us this photo may not be a shock to you. This photo was taken last year at a local St Patrick's Day gathering by the Seattle PI. No we are not the one in green, we're not that crazy (although our friend Matt Emery is)!
One thing Team Psaradelis stands behind is we are the same people at work as we are at home. If you run into us at the grocery store you'll find the same guys as you'll find in the office; goofy in nature yet passionate about excellence.
I hope you enjoy this year's St. Patrick's Day. To end today's blog, here is one of my favorite Irish Blessings for you and your family:
This is a great article to read if you don't know your actual credit score but think you do. You know what I mean? Maybe you always pay your bills on time so you think you have great credit, maybe not so anymore. Personally I was surprised that one of the reasons my score was lowered was because of inactivity. Did you know it actually hurts you to not use your credit card? Check out the article, it's interesting.
